3 Types of Marketing
One of the many things that I love about online marketing is the connection that it has to all the other types of marketing that you should be doing for your office.
In today’s world you essentially have three types of marketing for your upper cervical practice:
- Internal Marketing
- External Marketing
- Online Marketing
The reason why I don’t consider online marketing as external marketing is that it has a broader impact on your practice than just external outreaches actually do.
Online marketing when done effectively should not only attract more new patients from the Internet but also:
- Improve Referral Conversion
- Improve Retention
- Increase Referrals
- Increase Re-Activations
- Improve Professional Referrals
One example of how you can do this effectively is with your New Patient Orientation Class.
Maximizing the Impact of Your New Patient Orientation Class
Every office should be doing a new patient orientation class every 1-4 weeks in my opinion.
New Patient Orientation Class a.k.a. a Healthcare Class is one of the most effective ways to build a practice. Helping a new patient understand where true health comes from and how upper cervical and specifically your office is equipped to help them reach their health goals is essential for patient compliance, patient education, and creating referrals.
But it can be intimidating to do an effective new patient orientation class that’s actually going to have the impact that you’re looking for. If you want some guidance we highly recommend the New Patient Orientation Class Audio from Dr. Noel Lloyd.
For $35 you will learn:
- How to get new patients to truly understand the source of real, lasting good health
- How to develop this class into a powerful retention tool to help patients understand relief, correction, strengthening, maintenance and wellness care.
- How to educate new patients about chiropractic and the need to continue with chiropractic care to wellness.
It’s a no-brainer.
Once you listen to this audio and really get a good understanding of how to do a good class the next step is to integrate this New Patient Orientation Class into the rest of your marketing in these five steps.
Integrate Your New Patient Orientation Class with Your Online Marketing in 5 Steps
You will need to make sure that you have at least one CA with you to help you do the steps below.
#1 The first step is to prepare by getting a tripod and a lapel mic so you have good video and audio. You can get one that you can insert your smartphone into from Amazon here. You can get a lapel mic that we would recommend here.
#2 Next you want to set this up in your lobby or wherever you are doing your class in a place where the camera will see you, any visual aids you are using and your audience if possible.
#3 Now that you’re set up and ready to go have your CA open the Facebook app from your phone go to your business page and make sure you are posting as your page and then click on the area to do a status update and click on the live video. They can write a quick description before going live something like “Everything You Want to Know about Upper Cervical but Were Afraid to Ask” and then start the broadcast as you start your live NPOC for your new patients and guests.
#4 During your broadcast, you’ll see the number of viewers, the names of other verified people or Pages who are tuning in, and a real-time stream of comments. Your CA should be logged into Facebook and monitoring comments as you do your class.
#5 When you end your broadcast, it will be published on your Timeline so that fans who missed it can watch the video at a later time, although you have the option to remove it just like any other post.
People who like your Page can discover your live videos in News Feed and through notifications on Facebook. While watching a live video, people can tap the Subscribe button to get notified the next time your Page goes live.
This allows you to get a significantly bigger reach for your class. Instead of having 10 people in your class you may have 10 people who are there in person and another 50 who are online during the 30-60 minutes that you’re doing your class. Also, you may have another 50 or more who watch the recording. Depending on the number of fans you have connected to your page this can be a tremendous way to integrate your marketing effectively.
Everyone who logs into Facebook during your live class will see your life broadcast near the top of their news feed.
If you do a patient orientation class every week this is a tremendous way to connect with people who are already aware of you to build more trust, credibility, and likability.
